Canaccord Genuity Remains a Buy on Rewalk Robotics
By Carrie Williams

Rewalk Robotics (NASDAQ: RWLK) Canaccord Genuity analyst Kyle Rose maintained a Buy rating on Rewalk Robotics (NASDAQ: RWLK) today and set a price target of $2. The company’s shares opened today at $1.25, close to its 52-week low of $1.05.

Rose wrote:

“We maintain our BUY rating on ReWalk Robotics following Q4/17 results. ReWalk reported revenues of $1.5M, below CG/consensus of $2.1M/$1.9M. Although the shipment of 23 systems was well below our expectation for 42 systems, ReWalk sales benefited from a favorable mix of system purchases and rental conversions in the quarter. Despite the weaker than anticipated system placements, we were encouraged to see another quarter of strong demand and another positive coverage decision with reimbursement through Italy’s worker’s compensation group. While commercial unit placements continue to be lumpy Q/Q we continue to view the broader pipeline (Restore soft suit for stroke) positively in the H2/18 and beyond. Positive momentum in demand and reimbursement decisions: In Q4/17 the company placed 23 total units, down from 39 Y/Y but up Q/Q from 16.”

According to TipRanks.com, Rose is a 4-star analyst with an average return of 10.4% and a 54.2% success rate. Rose covers the Healthcare sector, focusing on stocks such as ReShape Lifesciences Inc, Obalon Therapeutics Inc, and Zimmer Biomet Holdings.

Rewalk Robotics has an analyst consensus of Moderate Buy, with a price target consensus of $2.25.

Based on Rewalk Robotics’ latest earnings report for the quarter ending December 31, the company posted quarterly revenue of $1.52 million and GAAP net loss of $6.16 million. In comparison, last year the company earned revenue of $1.59 million and had a GAAP net loss of $8.54 million.

Italian Workers Compensation Insurer Issues National Coverage Policy for ReWalk Exoskeletons

PR Newswire PR NewswireMarch 21, 2018
New policy for Italy follows trend of national policy programs for spinal cord injury medical device coverage

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. and YOKNEAM ILIT, Israel, March 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ReWalk Robotics Ltd. (RWLK) ("ReWalk" or "the Company"), a leading manufacturer of robotic exoskeletons, today announced that INAIL, the Italian Ministry of Labor and Social Policy's statutory insurance corporation, has put in place a coverage policy that will provide exoskeleton systems for all qualifying beneficiaries. This policy, the first of its kind in Italy, will provide individuals with spinal cord injury access to obtain their own medical device so that they can stand and walk again. Importantly, the INAIL policy is now in effect. Beneficiary claims are expected to begin assessment for coverage immediately. "The INAIL policy is a milestone in the adoption of exoskeleton technology for the people of Italy, and will serve as a precedent in helping many more injured workers around the world gain access to this impactful medical device," said ReWalk CEO Larry Jasinski.

The INAIL policy is one of a series of national coverage announcements from major European national insurers, and follows the decision of the German statutory health insurance body to list the ReWalk 6.0 Exoskeleton System in the German Medical Device Directory. This trend sees insurers moving towards broad policy application for procurement and reimbursement of exoskeletons.

"We are encouraged by the series of similar decisions by insurers and other payers, and continue to work diligently with providers worldwide to develop coverage policies for spinal cord injured beneficiaries," Jasinski added.

ReWalk Announces Progress in Clinical Study of ReStore Powered Exo-Suit

PR NewswireJune 28, 2018
Study of the ReStore device for stroke rehabilitation is being conducted at top research institutions and will support upcoming FDA submission

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. and YOKNEAM ILIT, Israel, June 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ReWalk Robotics, Ltd. (RWLK) ("ReWalk" or the "Company"), a leading manufacturer of robotic medical devices for individuals with lower limb disabilities, announced today that the Institutional Review Boards of five leading U.S. research institutions have approved ReWalk's clinical study of the ReStore soft exo-suit device.

"We expect that the expansion of our clinical study to these renowned research organizations will bring the ReStore exo-suit closer to CE and FDA clearance,'' said ReWalk CEO Larry Jasinski. ''The ReStore will offer an immediate and cost-effective solution for the more than three million stroke patients in the U.S. with lower limb disabilities. We are thrilled to be partnering with the most prestigious institutions in the world to bring our product to market."

ReWalk anticipates commercializing the ReStore device for use by stroke patients in Europe and the United States in the first half of 2019, subject to the timing and receipt of CE mark and FDA clearance, respectively. Enrollment for the multi-center study is underway. The five research centers participating in the study include:

The Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, IL;

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, MA, in partnership with Boston University College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College;

MossRehab Stroke and Neurological Disease Center in Elkins Park, PA;

TIRR Memorial Hermann in Houston, TX; and

Kessler Foundation in West Orange, NJ.

"The ReWalk ReStore is an unobtrusive wearable robotic technology that can seamlessly interact with and enhance everyday clinical care, allowing stroke patients to walk effectively and efficiently," explained Arun Jayaraman, PT, PhD who is Director of the Max Nader Lab for Rehabilitation Technologies & Outcomes Research at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and lead investigator for the study.

This first-of-its-kind device unveiled in 2017, the novel ReStore soft exo-suit is the second product developed by ReWalk. Designed to be a versatile, cost-effective gait therapy solution, the ReStore provides therapists with the ability to adjust and optimize a patient's treatment using real-time analytics. The ReStore promotes an improved gait with coordinated plantarflexion and dorsiflexion assistance to a patient's impaired foot and ankle. Power is transmitted from waist belt-mounted motors through cables to attachment points on the calf and an insole which is placed in the patient's shoe. Sensors clipped to the patient's shoes detect motion and inform timing of the assistance. Using a handheld smartphone controller, a trained therapist is able to adjust assistance level, monitor key metrics such as session progress and gait symmetry, and record standard gait training assessments. The company has announced pricing of under $20,000 for the device.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Expands Access to ReWalk Exoskeletons for Paralyzed Veterans with Revised National Policy

Updated VA policy provides expanded access for training to additional VA centers and private rehabilitation clinics through the Veterans Choice Program

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. and YOKNEAM ILIT, Israel, July 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ReWalk Robotics, Ltd. (Nasdaq: RWLK) ("ReWalk" or the "Company") announced that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has issued a revision to its national policy on exoskeleton medical device training and procurement for qualifying Veterans with spinal cord injury (SCI). The updated policy includes further guidance on the evaluation process and expands access to training program locations among the VA network and private rehabilitation centers through the VA's Veterans Choice Program.

This policy, issued in June 2018, is an update to the original standard operating policy (SOP) issued by the VA in December 2015. The evaluation process will now have all Veterans flow through one of 24 designated spinal cord injury VA centers (SCI/D). Once a Veteran is determined to be qualified for training and procurement of his or her own exoskeleton system, the individual may be allowed to pursue training in one of three ways: at the applicable SCI/D hub center, at a qualified VA hospital designated by the VA's "hub & spoke" program, or at a qualified private rehabilitation center through the VA's Veterans Choice Program; a program through which Veterans can receive care from a community provider paid for by the VA.

The policy stipulates as follows:
"If a Veteran with SCI/D is unable or unwilling to travel to a VA Exoskeleton Training Center for training, case-by-case consideration will be given to enable the Veteran and companion to receive training at a VA facility that does not have an exoskeleton training program or at a non-VA facility."
"This revised policy is a great step forward that will potentially help many paralyzed Veterans who simply seek to walk again," said ReWalk CEO Larry Jasinski. "These significant SOP updates mean that numerous injured Veterans who have expressed an interest in obtaining a ReWalk, but have not been able to participate due to a lack of availability in their area, can now have access. We are pleased to see the VA build upon the SOP, taking into account the Department's own extensive research and its ongoing national trial."

The Department of Veterans Affairs is a leader in providing a national policy for the training and procurement of exoskeleton systems for qualifying beneficiaries. The SOP applies for any Veteran who has sustained a spinal cord injury, be that service or non-service related. ReWalk Robotics has been working with the VA since the policy was issued in 2015 to help provide training and devices nationwide to facilitate its implementation. Further, ReWalk has been advocating for use of the Veterans Choice Program for those qualifying Veterans who could not travel to their nearest SCI/D for training to obtain an exoskeleton system.
As a result of the revised policy, there are now 142 ReWalk certified private and VA SCI/D training centers across the US potentially available to train Veterans to use ReWalk. Furthermore, the network of VA SCI/D spoke sites may now be eligible to conduct training and provide additional opportunity.
