Analisten verliezen geloof in pretparken
'Het onderliggend rendement blijft zwak en er gaapt een grote kloof tussen het 'sentiment' over het aandeel en de realiteit. We knippen 3 procent uit onze prognose voor dit jaar', klinkt het streng over Merlin Entertainment (Legoland, Sea Life...) bij Berenberg. Het beurshuis behoudt zijn verkoopadvies en koersdoel van 375 pence (100 pence onder de koers!).
Sinds midden april, toen GBL een belang van 15 procent kocht in concurrent Parques Reunidos (Bobbejaanland, Marineland...) verloor het Merlin-aandeel 2,5 procent van zijn waarde in Londen, terwijl de Spaanse pretparkengroep in Madrid ter plaatste trappelde. De investering heeft de Belgische holding dus nog niet veel opgeleverd.
Dan presteerde Compagnie des Alpes (Walibi, Parc Asterix...) een stuk beter. Sinds de intrede van GBL in de toerismewereld vier maanden geleden, werd het meer dan een derde duurder in Parijs. Sinds het jaarbegin steeg het CDA-aandeel met 44 procent. Vandaag verliezen alle drie de aandelen terrein.
Overigens zijn analisten sinds het voorjaar een stuk minder optimistisch geworden over pretparken. Toen adviseerde 78 procent van hen nog om Parques Reunidos te kopen, vandaag is dat nog 62 procent; bij Compagnie des Alpes daalde het aandeel koopadviezen zelfs van 75 naar 40 procent (allicht door de forse koersstijging), bij Merlin bleef het hangen op 53 procent.

Compagnie des Alpes maakte voorbeurs jaarresultaten bekend. De uitbater van pretparken zoals Walibi en van skigebieden zag de bedrijfscashflow (ebitda) met 11,1 procent stijgen en de ebitdamarge met 29,9 procent. De nettowinst daalde wel onverwacht met 6 procent door een afboeking op Musée Grévin in Seoel en Praag. Deze activiteiten staan nu te koop of worden stopgezet. Het dividend stijgt met 25 procent tot 0,5 euro per aandeel.
'We zijn heel tevreden met de resultaten. We hebben onze doelstellingen - die we hebben opgemaakt in 2013 - twee jaar vroeger dan verwacht bereikt', zei CEO Dominique Marcel.

PARIS (Reuters) - French ski resort operator Compagnie des Alpes said it was confident of making progress in selling a stake to potential investors including China's Fosun in the coming months, as it posted higher annual operating profit on Tuesday.
"Our potential partners remain very interested and this reflects the quality and solidity of the company," Chairman and CEO Dominique Marcel told Reuters, adding he was "confident" of making progress "in the coming months".
Compagnie des Alpes (CDA) operates 11 ski resorts in France and 13 leisure parks in Europe, including Parc Asterix and the Grevin waxworks museum in Paris. It wants to expand abroad, notably in high-growth markets such as China, and has been looking for partners to help with this.
But talks that started nearly two years ago had been put on hold ahead of May's presidential election in France and were further delayed by the search for a new boss at key shareholder state-owned bank Caisse des Depots, sources have told Reuters.
Fosun, which already controls French holiday group Club Med, told Reuters in July it was still interested in CDA, where it could take a holding of up to 10 percent.
However, French politicians and local officials in the French Alps voiced concerns last year about French regions losing control of ski resorts to foreign companies.
Caisse des Depots (CDC), which is CDA's main shareholder of with a 39.5 percent stake, has said it would stay as the reference shareholder and keep the company anchored in France.
Eric Lombard was named last month as the new head of CDC by French President Emmanuel Macron.
CDA achieved sales of 762 million euros (673.4 million pounds) in the 2016-2017 financial year and employs close to 5,000 people. Ski resorts make up 56 percent of its global turnover.
It reported operating profit of 93.1 million euros for the year ended Sept. 30, a year-on-year rise of 27.4 percent.
CDA also said it had decided to sell or close its loss-making Seoul Grevin and Prague Grevin museums, taking a depreciation charge of 18.8 million euros.
Although its net profit fell 6.3 percent to 31.3 million euros, CDA proposed a dividend of 0.50 euros per share, a rise of 25 percent.
CDA shares have gained more than 51 percent so far this year, closing at 28.96 euros on Monday, underpinned by a recovery in French tourism and speculation about its ownership.

Sales 2017-2018 alweer met 6% gestegen, aandeel lijkt volgens mij onterecht (stevig) teruggevallen de afgelopen weken. Ik blijf alvast zitten.

Aandelenkoers van CDA is veel te ver teruggevallen onder de boekwaarde die boven de €34 ligt.
Voor een bedrijf dat jaarlijks mooie cijfers kan voorleggen is dit een koopkans voor beleggers die op zoek zijn naar waarde voor hun portefeuille.
